Since then proceeded to obtain my BCMSN and taking my BSCI. I thought that the material may be a little dry, but it is far from that for technical reading.
In addition, I found it very beneficial that the library also came with a free Boson practice test for the CCNA exams. It contains great detailed information and explanations on the information in the text.
I have to say that a friend recommended the Wendell Odom CCNA Exam Certification Library when I asked him what material to use for the CCNA studies around a year ago. It also lays a GREAT foundation for future Cisco studies.
The Boson exams really helped me prepare for the CCNA. I have been a CCNA since October '09.
This book set contains all the information that you need in order to learn the fundamentals of the CCNA material.
I would reccomend these for anyone wanting to get their CCNA. As usualy these books are good and help assist your training to get your CCNA. As with most Study books it's dry but full of good material.
Which I have also read a few. In my opinion the Network+ Cert is easier than the CCNA as the CCNA covers a lot more knowledge.I only gave a 4 star ratting because I did not like all the Cisco plug-ins the book had. I have just started to read the 1st book. If your serious about a networking certification than take the CCNA and use this book for studying if not I recommend to those who are hesitant about CCNA take the CompTIA Network+ exam. I know that its a Cisco certification and I get it that Cisco has most of the market share and do not need to be reminding of. It is well organized and detailed to the networking technologies. This book goes more in depth than Network+ books.
I also purchased two 2950 switches, and 2610xm, 2621, 1720 routers. I just passed my CCNA exam two days ago using these texts and the included Boson Exam Sim Engine as my primary study tools.
